Cydney Marie is a multifaceted vocalist celebrated for her expressive artistry, vocal versatility, and captivating storytelling.
With a voice of many colors, she brings emotional depth and authenticity to a diverse repertoire spanning opera, musical theatre, gospel and worship, jazz, pop, and R&B/soul. Grounded in musical integrity and a passion for human connection, Cydney's performances bridge genres, languages, and traditions, inviting audiences into stories that resonate long after the final note.
Raised in the southwest suburbs of Chicago with her mom Catherine, Cydney and have always been one and the same. Growing up in the church singing Gospel and worship music, she spent a lot of time learning music by listening to other people. As those passions grew, the music vocabulary grew expansively. Through most of her pre-college career she participated. in Acapella, Jazz and Choir groups. It wasn’t until her first performance of ‘Godspell’ that she realized she was meant for the stage. But why Opera? Well why not? And so began the start of something new.
With degrees in Vocal Performance and Opera Theatre from Baldwin Wallace University and the University of South Carolina, Cydney has performed across the U.S. and in Italy — bringing stories to life through voice, connection, and compassion.
When not on the stage or in the studio, Cydney enjoys daydreaming about Disney World, performing on the world’s largest opera stages, spending time with her Family and friends, and Traveling with her Mom. Her favorite shows are Massenet’s Cendrillon, and the musical Hairspray.
